In this on-going class students learn a full complement of Pilates mat exercises and basic yoga poses with special attention on developing a sense of body awareness, moving with your breath, and increasing all-over strength. The focus is generally on core stability for better alignment, increased freedom of movement, whole body coordination, and greater flexibility. Movements are developed from their basic form through more challenging variations giving all students, no matter their current level, a safe yet challenging experience. Each exercise is taught with respect for the level and needs of the individual student. A great stand alone mind-body practice, this class is also designed to boost your yoga practice.
