How much are you shouldering?

Warm up with shoulder releases that work your arms in all directions — flexion, extension, adduction and abduction — then practice poses geared to opening your chest for more breath and releasing long-held tension in your neck and shoulders. Add strengthening poses to increase your awareness of how to engage the muscles in this region in a balanced and harmonious way. Some of the poses we will practice include cow facing pose (gomukhasana), eagle pose (garudasana), variation of the four-limb staff pose (chataranga) and much more.

What Clients Say About CVYoga

  • Tried their Hatha class for levels 2 and 3 and it was good! I like how my instructor really took the time out to correct and improve my poses.  Will be back to try other classes!

  • I really love coming to this studio, it is so comfortable! Yes, it is definitely on the small side, but most classes don’t get too full, so it doesn’t really pose a problem. There are a variety of styles offered, and the teachers each bring something unique to their classes. And the best part? It is probably the least expensive studio you’ll find—perfect for students like myself.…

  • I forced myself to try beginners yoga on a Sunday morning last fall.  Best thing I could have done.  I like that it is a small studio.  I like that I get the assistance from the teacher that has improved my practice.  My body and soul have definitely benefited from practicing here.
