Yoga for Healthy Aging
Dana has practiced yoga on and off for over 20 years. But it wasn't until she reached her fifties and she began to feel the effects of aging and a sedentary lifestyle that she decided to dive in deep to daily practices of yoga, meditation, and holistic nutrition. These practices have helped her build strength, flexibility, balance, agility, and most importantly equanimity. Dana completed her yoga instructor certification and holistic nutritionist certification in 2019 through the American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA) and her meditation teacher certification in 2019 with the Priority Academy. In January 2020, she became a certified Yoga for Healthy Aging teacher. She is currently completing her 200-hour YTT at Castro Valley Yoga. She brings her passion for wellness and yoga philosophy to the mat and encourages students in her classes to let go of preconceptions of how yoga "should" be done and to pay attention to what works for them in the moment.
