Thank You for Your Cooperation
Plan on arriving at least 10 minutes before class starts to allow enough time to check-in, make a payment if necessary, and get yourself setup. If you arrive late, please wait in the reception area until the breathing/chanting has concluded, and then enter the studio. Due to safety reasons and to ensure a proper warm-up, students will not be admitted to class if more than 10 minutes late.
Please be sure to check in at the front desk with one of our staff members. If possible, register for class ahead of time on MindBody; this will secure you a spot in the studio for up to five minutes before class begins (reservations are released five minutes before the start of class).
Please remove your shoes and place them in one of the cubbies in the reception area.
As a courtesy to the instructor and other students in the class, please silence your phones prior to class and leave them in your cubby with your other valuables (please no cell phones near your mat).
Please keep talking to a minimum before and during class to maintain an atmosphere of quiet, stillness, and peace.
We encourage you to hydrate before and after class. Please refrain from bringing food and beverages other than water into the studio.
Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or scented lotions to class to help preserve our scent-free atmosphere. In yoga, we are breathing deeply while near one another. Even mild scents can seem very strong, especially to those with sensitivities or allergies.
Stay for Savasana (final resting pose)
We strongly recommend that you avoid skipping this period, which is designed to bring your body into its healthiest alignment, help your body/mind integrate what you have learned in the class, and calm the nervous system for maximum health benefits. If on occasion you must leave a few minutes early, inform your instructor before class, set up your mat near the door, and exit the studio before Savasana begins, leaving your props to avoid further disruption.
Please be courteous to the next class by returning all props.
Teaching style, including the level of strenuousness in a class, can vary from teacher to teacher, so we recommend trying a variety of classes to find the fit that is best for you and your yoga practice.
