About Prenatal Yoga
If you’re pregnant, you might be considering prenatal yoga to prepare for childbirth. Prenatal yoga is also a great way to relax. You’ll learn ways to connect your mind to your breath as well as doing movements that help you stay strong and flexible.
Research suggests that prenatal yoga is safe and can help to
- Improve sleep
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Increase the strength, flexibility, and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth
- Decrease lower back pain, nausea, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome symptoms, headaches, and shortness of breath
- Prenatal yoga can also help you meet and bond with other pregnant women, which helps prepare for the stress of being a new parent
We welcome a broad community of women at all stages of their pregnancies from San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Hayward, and, of course, Castro Valley.
